Meet the third kind…
So…How do you categorize people in this world…..emm, thinking?
I’ am talking about the most basic categorization…..still thinking?
A heavy question indeed.Anyways let me tell you, as rightly said by Capt. Heer –
- Good people,
- Bad people, &
- Sailors…?!
Sailing is indeed a tough job.It demands a lot. The amount of sweat and trauma you have to put in?But then it is one of the best things you can do, and probably that is why I’ am here. This is one profession where you get to see Life!I say this because I feel that “Lack of pain and struggle makes you loose the sense of happiness.”In here you get to enjoy the worldly pleasures with adversity trailing you.Now that is Life! You start viewing the world from a different perspective. Because sooner or later, willingly or unwillingly, you get induced with that – ‘different perspective’.And it is obvious. We deal in places where man is not made for. We tread and trade in places where there is no solid ground to step on.The Oceans affect you.
It gets into you.
We become a part of the oceans…..we become Oceans!Yes, it’s not just a metaphor. We, indeed, become like oceans. We absorb its calmness, its rage. Its persistence, its perseverance. We get instilled by its aroma, its aura of mystery.
We add up in dimensions.
We deepen up.
Broaden up, broad enough to link all the continents…..the whole World.Above individuals & sects, We see the world ‘At Large’ !

Hi Bro.....
Nice one... Hmmmmm... U know what... it reminds me of the Alchemist (A book by Paulo Coelho). In that book there is a small boy who becomes the Wind. He becomes the sand (of the desert).
You know what ever you have said is actually very well written but as some once said
“An author doesn’t write a book, it’s the book that writes itself!!” (Replace book by blog.)
You have written something which has a very deep meaning (ok, ok I know dear you know that deep meaning.).
The idea is that the world has one soul and we all are a part of that soul. We just need to connect to that soul of the world and we have to understand the universal language.
I think that the sailors have a very good opportunity to connect to that soul, but not all can achieve that feat. Its very difficult. To do that, you have to understand the universal language of omens. You have to start listening to your heart. And above all you should have a dream and the zeal to follow that dream, to achieve it, to conquer it.
Once you have done that your soul and the soul of the world meet, you acknowledge the presence of that Soul. And then you become the ocean and the ocean becomes you. Nothing seems impossible. You have that calmness, the strength, the magnanimity, the rage and the LOVE that the ocean is capable of.
You transform, into a gem. Its like you have become like Gold. (Gold because it is the purest metal in the world, tried and tested by fire, purified by it.). Yes your journey across the oceans is like a fire, testing times that you have been put into. And those who emerge out of it undaunted are purified.
I remember the dialogues of a flick I saw (What the heck it was RDB!), I would like to modify it:
“I always believed that there were two kinds of men:
- Men who go to their deaths screaming, and
- Men who go in silence.
And then I met the third kind:
- The Sailors “
I wish………. I was a sailor too….
