Sometimes I see the Ocean..... so wide, all around..... boundless it seems.
And if you plop... it won't even notice, that someone not belonging is sinking in its womb.
Its a hostile world beneath. It doesn't accept you & ignores your needs comepletely.
With no regards to you, the ocean will continue in its serene yet ominious grace. & if you didn't get noticed by the handfull of those who relate to you, they too continue to penetrate through the ignorant or furious behaviour of the ocean, to the far off lands where they belong.

At first you resist, but then you are made to surrender & you bubble out your needs, forget your pains, you shed your responsibilities, give up your desires, you loose conciousness... & you discard your life... and get Adapted !

P.S. - It depends on you, how you wish to adapt. Either in the moralistic sense of the words or literal ?!
